Another successful year for the T.T.A.G Motorcycle Touring Club has now passed with our membership remaining very similar to what it has been for some time now. Welcome to the new members and we are sorry to have lost he old ones.
We have kept up our donations to the various charities around the district including Foodbanks, Bronz Toy and Easter Egg Runs, Rescue Helicopter and St John Ambulance. We have also made a return to sponsoring motorcycle racing with sponsorship of Johnny Small. It is very pleasing to note that he won the New Zealand Pro Twin Championship. A new initiative for the club this year was the participation in the relay for life which raised affair amount of money for cancer research. Many thanks to all those member who made this successful.
Our annual rally was another successful event despite attendance being back a bit overall. We had a record Friday night and only lost numbers on the Saturday due to the weather. That would indicate that we are doing something right as all those who were there enjoyed themselves with new games etc. on offer. Many thanks to each and every one of you for making this possible.
I would also like to make a very special thank you to all the members of the committee who work tirelessly at their various tasks and make my job a pleasure.
Our club members have been highly visible at most South Island rallies again this year and we certainly hope this remains the case. We have also continues to enjoy our own usual club outings and will continue to do so in the future, I am sure.
Once again thank you to everybody for all your help in making this club what it is for without all of you we have nothing.
